A Poem About Worry

Worry doesn’t get there
Faster than you need to go
Worry doesn’t work the opposite
It doesn't make you go slow

Worry doesn’t make the sunshine
Worry still sends the rain
Worry doesn’t make the pain
Go away
Worry and the pain remains the same

Worry about other people
And what they think of you
Worry won’t make an ounce of difference
To what you say and do

Worry won’t make you sleep
Any better when it’s time for bed
Worry doesn’t care then
If you are alive or dead

Worry is just a waste of time
and it just takes its time on you
So from now on you must say
“worrying i’m not going to do”
